The expression "time flies when you are having fun" seems very appropiate because I began my banking career in 1975 and it only seems like yesterday. In 1978 I started in the trading room as a Foreign Exchange dealer, and the next 22 years I spent all my working hours on the telephone trading currencies. During my trading career I spent 2 years in London and 10 years in Germany where I was head of the international currency section of a major German broker company. During my time in Germany I successfully completed an MBA focusing on the external environment and corporate finance. In 2000 I joined Jyske Bank Private Banking and was promoted to Manager of International Client Relations in 2001. In 2008 I joined the newly established Portfolio Management Company Jyske Global Asset Management (JGAM), as a Senior Vice President. I am a member of JGAM's Investment Committee focusing on our Foreign Exchange strategy. I travel the world giving presentations about the markets and the investment opportunities at JGAM.
Personal Interest: I love the sport of golf but unfortunately it does not love me, as I never managed to get below a handicap of 36. I have therefore put my golf clubs in the storage room and Im now concentrating my efforts on running and spinning. I have completed several half marathons and two marathons (26 miles), which I actually find much easier than playing golf. Having 3 grown up children my wife and I spend much of our free time travelling. I have also had the pleasure of jogging in the Andes, along the Panama canal, down 5th Avenue in Manhatten and on the beaches in Thailand.
